i have type 1 diabetes, however, due to untreated hypothyroidism and some meds i take, i put on a lot of weight....... this additional weight made me insulin resistant... the hallmark of type 2 diabetes......so i'm a double diabetes person
rarely, a type 2 diabetic will present with the GAD antibodies, and become a double diabetic, but that means they are now type 1 diabetic with insulin resistance, as i am........ again, double diabetes
